The FCSPN is a Suicide Prevention Network providing connection, education, support and hope to our community.
Fraser Coast Suicide Prevention Network was established in April 2019 and became an Incorporated Association in June of the same year. Now, seven years later, the Association have gained Health Promotion Charity status, which will soon include Deductible Gift Recipient benefits.
We are a Suicide Prevention Network providing connection, education, support, and hope to our community, and our vision is a community united toward the prevention of suicide within the Fraser Coast.

Those who have considered ending their life, and those who have attempted to do
so. We recognize the courage and tenacity to carry on and move through the intense
pain. Those who care for loved ones through a suicidal crisis. We recognize the fear and helplessness experienced, and the endless endeavors to empower those in our care. Those bereaved through suicide. May their immeasurable loss define a legacy and a mission to discover healing, and a new purpose.

Olwen Schubert - Assistant Secretary
Olwen has been with FCSPN since its inception, and brings many years of living, and lived experience.
A true stalwart of suicide prevention, Olwen brings a depth of knowledge and unshakable commitment that is deeply appreciated.
Shelley Quick - Treasurer
Shelley is our little pocket dynamo. Having volunteered as treasurer on a number of organisations in the past, we are privileged to have her wealth of experience guiding our financial future.
Pauline Derich & Brooke Walkem - Our Support Crew
Where would we be without our Non-Executive Committee Members backing us up, and picking up the slack when we need them most.
Pauline has been with FCSPN for many years and brings an equal amount of Lived and Living experience to the team.
While Brooke also joins FCSPN with her own Lived and Living Experience, she is the co-Founder of You Good? Clothing, a community-led mental health and grassroots social enterprise.

Kim Allgood - Chair
Also working in the suicide prevention space, Kim brings many years of lived experience to the FCSPN committee, along with her experience steering various not-for-profit charities.
Kim believes that collaboration across mental health services, charities, and non-health sectors provides the strongest foundation for effective suicide prevention.
Steve Moroney - Wesley Mission
While he doesn't get a vote in any Fraser Coast Suicide Prevention Network decisions, it is Steve and Wesley who have helped our core group, Olwen, Shelley, Pauline, and Nola, keep the Association alive.
We appreciate everything Steve has taught us over the years, and Wesley does, not only for us, but for all their Suicide Prevention Networks.
Your membership will help us to foster collaboration among local suicide prevention organisations, associations, groups, individuals, and businesses in response to ongoing community suicide prevention and awareness challenges.
We are committed to building a community united towards the prevention of suicide within the Fraser Coast. We welcome diverse perspectives, voices, and lived experience. We hold ourselves accountable by following through on commitments, making collective decisions, and remaining flexible to adapt to the changing needs of the Fraser Coast community.

Annual General Meeting
Our AGM will be held at 6:00 PM (1800), Monday, October 26, 2026, in the Boardroom on the second floor of Hervey Bay RSL, 11 Torquay Rd, Pialba, Qld.
We will supply a link for those unable to attend in person.
